The stories about online bullying and fraud keep getting worse. Never has the need to educate children on the proper use of social media been more urgent. Kids get access to social media at a very young age and as soon as they can read and write, they are likely to make use of some of the tools. As adults, we can apply the same lessons to our own use of social media and indeed to our daily lives.
So as we send kids back to school this week, I thought this acronym and mnemonic device I saw in an elementary school I visited was a good reminder for all of us. I don’t know who came up with it but whoever you are, it is brilliant. A reminder for all of us to THINK before we post.
